New Storage Hardware

We have upgraded our hardware again. Both our storage systems and servers have been upgraded. The end user will see increased speeds realized through upload, download and database read and write.

The storage hardware upgrade is where users will see the most impact. We have moved from an ATA NAS solution to a Fiber Channel (FC) SAN. Video upload and video download speeds will be greatly increased. We have also increased the storage capacity to 1.8 Tera bytes.

All the servers are now running 15k SCSI drives. 4 GB of RAM, and Dual Xeon Processors.

The architecture of the system has also changed to a distributed system.
